Replace engine & transmission in 96.

We have a 1996 . despartly trying to locate info. Will a new Eurovan engine and transmission fit this unit. It is in Awesome condition and we hate to abandon .. Engine running great but no trans,0. So we will replace both with they will fit. Help. Help

If you plan to keep it for a while id switch to a more recent VR6 2.8L engine and 01P transmission .....



it can be done , 3 years ago ,I switched my 2.5L for an AHU TDI diesel .....


so anything can be done



I`d forget about my season ,,,,, find a VW mechanic that does conversionsId do it !

Dan, I am thinking about buying a Railta. Can you advsie how expensive these are maintain. Can you get parts for them. Hheard the engine are very expensive to repair and diffuclt to find anyone to work on them. How did your swap workout for the diesel. Also, I am looking the model year of 2003 -2005. Please help---daccop. Can you send a number where I can call you.

those VR6 are easy to get ....they are quite sturdy too ....


transmission if kept cool ,,,will last .


the eurovan parts are easy to get ....


winnebago harder ....but lots of replacements
