Default Rear Suspension

Departing Wednesday on a trip from FL to CO and I need some help/advice.

Had the Rialta on a drive-on lift for some other work and noticed the rear air springs were flat (I knew they had a slow leak) and the two-leaf metal springs were sagging. We have owned the vehicle since Aug 13 and travel light but I don't know what the previous two owners did with it.

A local truck shop said they could order new air springs and install a third leaf in the springs. He ordered the air springs for a Eurovan (coil springs instead of leaf) so they were wrong. I can live with having to pump up the air springs frequently but now he's having trouble sourcing a third leaf.

The parts list for my 99HD only shows a Winnebago part number but like so many other things they probably sourced the rear suspension from some major auto/truck or trailer manufacturer. Has anyone added a leaf or used a leaf-spring helper kit from one of the major auto parts stores?

Any quick response would be greatly appreciated as I'm running out of time.

Other R owners have added an extra leaf spring to the rear. Find a spring shop and they should be able to help find you one. As for the air bags, members have removed and used slime to inject and seal up pin hole leaks. Some have found that the air valve (like a car tire valve) has a slow leak. You might test by putting soapy water onto the valve and see if you see air bubbles. If so, tighten the shrader valve. Sometimes it is the compression fitting on the plastic air line leaks, or a leaking air line.
