Default P1214 code fuel injector circuit. shorted to B+

I'm getting a P1214 code on the Obd11 for a check engine light. I clear it but it comes back again. It is for a #2 fuel injector circ. Shorted to B+. someone told me that is may be a fuse for the #2 fuel injector; but I dont know where to find it.

Default P1214

Hey y'all I am having the same relentless problem of the p1214 (manufacture control) diagnostic code. It is causing a misfire on cylinder 2 also throwing code p0302. I had the spark plugs and wires changed and it came back tonight while trying to reset the system check. Has anyone figured out how to fix this. Thanks so much, Ryan

I assume it's a Chevy. If not then the below is all wrong.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1214 stored in memory after replacement ECC was installed or fuel injector pump has been replaced. Perform Top Dead Center (TDC) Offset Procedure to ensure proper injector pump timing. Use the procedure listed below:

1. Perform anti-theft (PASSLOCK) relearn procedure first.
2. Install suitable scan tool.
3. Using the scan tool, clear any DTCs present.
4. Start engine and bring to operating temperature. Shut engine down.
5. Turn ignition switch to the ON position, engine off (not running).
6. Fully depress throttle for at least 45 seconds.
7. Turn ignition switch to the OFF position for 30 seconds.
8. Restart engine. Using scan tool, verify that TDC offset has been cleared to zero.
9. Start engine and bring to operating temperature, engine RPM less than 1500.
10. Using scan tool, verify that TDC offset is between negative .25 to negative .75. If TDC offset is within specs, relearn procedure is complete.
11. If TDC is not within specs, it will be necessary to reset the injector pump timing. Follow the procedure outlined in the shop manual.

Examples
If you had a Ford, that code means Pedal Position Sensor B Circuit Intermittent. If you had an Alfa Romeo that code means Engine Temperature Sensor.

Same codes, different meanings for different manufacturers.

Interestingly, p0302 means the same for all manufacturers which is Cylinder 2 Misfire

Read what the Ross-Tech site says about the P1214 code. You can check for other codes on the site.

As stated, P1214 means different things from different manufacturers.

List the make of your vehicle.

Trouble Code: P1214

Cylinder 2 Fuel Injection Circuit Short to B+

Possible Causes:

Injector control circuit is open
Injector power circuit (B+) is open
Injector control circuit is shorted to chassis ground
Injector is damaged or has failed
ECM is not connected or has failed
Fuel pump relay has failed
Engine speed sensor has failed
