new engine possible??

so--it is darn hard to find one of these, particularly the QD model, which is the only onwe i feel i can get the dogs' cages into [by removing one of the secondary captain's seats].


has anyone ever bought a very-high-mileage unit and put in a new engine? this might actually be economical if i could get the rialta at a good price?


how about if the unit had a 5-cylinder--are they even availabale? or could a 6-cylinder be put in instead?
