Key issue

We stopped at an Ohio Rest area and when we returned and tried to start the engine absolutely nothing happened. After a 1/2 hour I tried the spare key and it would start the emgine for no more than 3 seconds then turn off. 20 minutes later I tried the real key and it started right up. It hasn't happened since. Any comments?

What is the condition of your engine battery? If its over 3 yrs old I'd replace it.
