fuel pump going out

Has anyone changed out their on fuel pump??? If so I have a 96 model and was wondering if there is anything I should look out for before I tackel this job.. Thank you Herb

Another owner had his fuel pump changed out and did a write up about how to do it. Under the drivers seat and under the carpet is a cutout hole to remove the fuel pump with out dropping the tank. I believe he removed the driver seat to get to the cutout area.


Some auto have this same way to remove the fuel pump with out dropping the tank.

remove driver seat


lift carpet


look for a screwed on plate on floor


remove it , voila , access to the fuel pump !
