Experience in trying to get help for my Rialta
I have had many, many troubles with my 1999 HD which I bought used in 2010. I still love it though. Not knowing the history one cannot know what may have caused these or were they just normal ailments? I had many component failures in the Winnebago coach end and many electronic malfunctions, sensors, modules, etc., in the Volkswagen Eurovan chassis end. I had found the dealership "Rialta Heaven" and was initially pleased. They sold used Rialta's and, for the most part, all looked well. I knew they had a service/repair department and hoped I could get some tips or answers for ailments I couldn't get Volkswagen to fix. On a recent trip to CA, I visited the Yucaipa dealership. They were polite enough at first but I could tell they weren't interested at all to help me. They did allow me to go in the back and speak to their tech. He was great and answered some quick questions. I didn't linger or tire kick but soon the office manager came and was very abrupt and not really polite saying, "Hangin' out here huh?" I answered, "No, but I had some questions I could never get answers for". I also considered trading my '99 for one of their newer ones. So, back to the office I went but they really didn't even want to talk. As if they really aren't interested in selling at all. I had a friend with me and he felt the same vibes; so it wasn't just me. I even tried to give them info on cosmetic parts I found (that they could not) but the same manager turned in her chair facing me with arms folded "waiting" for me to finally leave. I was shocked and VERY disappointed in the whole operation, save for the one service tech. He helped me the most. I really thought they were tops.....oh well.
