Electrical Problem

Coach Battery not charging from motor generator. Transfer relay in Coach Battery compartment not being energized when key is on. If i jumper from caosch battery to relay, it energizes and rear battery chages. Also rear wiper / defroster do not work - but when I energize relay they do.



It appears that ignition-on voltage to rear wiper / defroster ot present, but with relay picked, voltage is fed through fuse to bus for rear things.



I want to get to the relay under dash that is picked when the ignition is turned on. I can see it and touch it, but can not get clean access.

Did you check the selonoid in the coach battery compartment? Do you hear a "CLICK" when you push the "AUX START" button on the dash? The click tells you that the circuit is working.

Don: The solenoid does work and does click when I press the AUS Start. In fact, I once replaced it. When I connect the solenoid pick to the Coach Battery, it picks up and allows charging of the coach battery from the engine generator.
