I had the same problem. 2000 with 15 inch rims . I purchased Maxxis Bravo UE 168 an 8 ply tire I put 215 70 15c on front at 55 psi and 225 70 15 c on the rear at. 60 psi purchased them online from Pep Boys and shipped them to my repair shop.. These are higher load rated than standard issue. Less stress in heat and cold. An important note make sure they tell you the manufacturers date which is printed on the tire to insure new stock makes a big difference since tires age is as important as tread life.
