Default '97 Locks- Electric or not?

Greetings,

Our '97 RC does not have electric locks, at least that we can find. The brochure def says that it has electric door locks. It does not say optional or available.

Thoughts?

Thank you.

DDay.

Hi! The '97's came in either 22RC standard (w/1 double bed), 22RC optional (twin beds) or the 22RD with 2 extra passenger chairs (seating for 4). Even after doing my research before buying, I didn't know there were these designations.

Are you talking about the cab door locks or the camper side door? If you have cab door locks you should have a key fob with bottoms to lock the doors. Some Rialtas came with door locks that locked all three doors.

What is strange is that the brochure is pretty good as mentioning whether items are optional or available. It flat out says that it has electric locks.

Oh well, it is what it is.

Thanks!

If you have electric locks on the coach door there will be a small cable bundle going from the body to the door. This is a problem area for broken or frayed wires. Often replaced with a six shooter connection to eliminate that problem.
The same problem happens with the cabin doors. Maybe a previous owner had the problem and disconnected them.

Enjoy
