Default 2002 QD roof vent

My roof vent lift lever just broke. I took off the housing and it appears that maybe there was a pin to hold the gear lift in place but I found no pin loose and wondering if anyone can help me here. There seems there is no easy way to insert another pin. Thanks!

I have a 96 qd and the lift broke so I took a 8/32 bolt and some worshers and put a spacer in the middle and tightened it so it would slide easy then double nuted it so it wouldnt work lose.. Been working great now for over 6 months.. Oh tried buying the part first but no one seemed to have it.. Hope this helps, Herb
