Default Xplorer 230XLW shattered rear window. template anyone?

So I'm finding out how much time it takes to get a replacement for my rear window, and it's not good, especially since I'm on the road and have no desire to be stuck for the couple of weeks that it would normally take to get a template made, order a pre-cut and tempered piece of glass, and get it installed. What I am hoping is if anyone might have or know where I can find a template for this window, and then find a shop that would be willing to order glass as per this template and install it somewhere down the line. I know I'm grasping at straws, but I've got to try, and keeping my fingers crossed!

I don't know where you are in Texas, but Flour Bluff Plastics in Corpus Christi made me a replacement oval acrylic panel for my front door for under $200. I had to make a cardboard template first, however. A local glass place wanted a thousand for the same job with tempered glass.

The key will be whether your rubberwindow gasket is in good enough shape to be reused or you can find a suitable replacement. Acrylic can scratch, but being careful, I don't think it will be a problem. And it is almost shatter-proof, so it should never break again.

I too would go for acrylic -or even a plywood panel for a rear side window to get going during a trip.

steele rubber products is a source for seals common to the auto world

for a rear door window, that'd be a chevy van part for me

Thanks guys. I bought a 6 mil roll of black sheet vinyl and had some black Gorilla duct tape, and very carefully cut and taped it to the frame. I had already made a Reflectix cover for all of my windows, and put that in place behind the vinyl. 250 miles today with this and zero problems, windows open or closed. I do have zero deductible glass replacement insurance, and because it's going to take about two weeks for a glass shop to make a template, order the glass and install it, I' going to wait and get that done a couple thousand miles down the road during an extended stay with a buddy in Colorado. I had just hoped to short circuit the process a bit with a template, but to tell the truth even if I were to find one, there's no guarantee that a glass outfit would trust it to be correct.

Oh and I forgot to say that my rubber gasket is in fine shape and reusable.

That is very good news. As hard as is to get replacement glass, it may be even harder to find the proper window gasket.
