Default Winnie ERA 170M: how to get into wiring path above cockpit?

In a Winnebago 170M (mine is a 2017), there is an off-white "headliner" over the driver's head. There is some space between this and the grey carpeted bottom of the cabinet directly above... but I can't figure out how to get into that space.

I'm happy to either move the base plate of the cabinet or the "headliner". The "headliner" seems like it's the more likely item to move, but I can't figure out how to remove it, and I don't want to just start yanking on things.

There are several things that look like "buttons" from seat upholstery, holding up the headliner. They don't turn like screws... do I pry them out?

anyway, I'd like to run some wires between the headliner and the bottom of the cabinet... I can figure out how to get a zip tie between the two (visible in the photo), but not to get access in there for serious work.

Photos follow.

The Cabinet in question, with the headliner visible just beneath

The bottom panel of the closet... it feels pretty solidly in place

The headliner, with two of the "button" things visible

The buttons you see are just snap on covers for the screws under neigh. This is to make it nice covers for the screws. Just snap them off and you should see the screws. Remove the screws and check for other snap in areas. My ProMaster overhead is removable with space between where WGO cut the top of the van for my Trend.
