By the way, if you are into casinos at all, there's one just right up I35 close to the Minnesota border, you could hang out at if you wanted....

If you're picking up at Lichtsinn's, they have hookups there in their parking lot. There are also hookups across the street at the Winnebago Visitors Center. And lastly, there are plenty of hookups (as well as shower houses) at the Winnebago Rally Grounds less than a mile away (as long as there's nothing going on). All these are electric only, I believe, but there is water available at the rally grounds for sure - don't know about the others.

Is this a trick question. the Onan generator supplies 2800 watts of alternating current and is good to have when you need it. it also

SOUNDS LIKE A MACHINE GUN SHOOTING AT A LAWNMOWER-SORT OF LIKE USING CAPITAL LETTERS IN A POST-LOL

when the air conditioner is on you hear the air conditioner and the generator-one covers the other

.

it's the people around you that suffer the generator

so the answer is NO!

We've had all 3 fuel types of Onam generator. Gas, diesel & propane. Loudest to quietest in order are:
1-diesel
2-gas
3-propane

The propane is noticeably quieter than the other 2. You can buy an Onan supplied resonator and install it on all 3 and it quiets all of then down, with the propane probably the most. About $50.00 for the part. It's an Onan part so it won't hurt the warranty.
The AC is another thing all together. Every class B and class C I've ever been in, it is noisy. Some don't mind it, (us), some can't handle it.

We don't have any problem getting and staying asleep with both running, (gen & air)

Do you happen to have the part number for that resonator that you could share? A friend just had his 2014 into an Onan regional center for a carburetor repair and when he asked if there was anything that could be done for noise reduction he was told "no".

As I showed in my posting, the resonator does not reduce the noise level. It simply changes the tone to be a bit less annoying. It's still hella loud.

If you decide to install the resonator, you'll need to cut your generator tailpipe, weld the resonator in and probably re-jigger the supporting hanger.

Part of the discussion in that earlier thread was that some noticed the generator was quieter over grass than it was over asphalt. Some also carried a square of carpet to lay on the ground under the exhaust pipe and that helped some in reducing the tone of the sound.

What's a "Kindle hose"? Googled it but no hits.

Mass59K-I be interested in your feedback on another topic where someone questioned my belief that a View/Navion could go almost anywhere a Travato could go with few exceptions. Also the View because of higher ground clearance could go where other class Bs couldn't.

Since you traded a View for a Travato 59K, I'd be interested in your real life experience feedback.

I got to see both the Travato 59G and the Agile SS...I am not almost certainly leaning towards the Roadtrek! One it being Canadian and two just seems to have things together and looks like it would work great off grid.
