Sleeps 6? What the heck are you referencing? The Travato 59K plan is a two person maximum van all the way around. We talking about the same van? The video shows not only the Travato but a lot of other Winnebago RVs. The Travato is only shown in the beginning.

Winnebago Travato 59K
Wow, there is a lot to like in this vid.
I really dig the flip down sink. He did'nt really show it, but there looks to be big storage wardrobe and drawers in the bath, along with large medicine cabinet. Also note what appears to be a wet storage area down low on pass. side.
Storage in the floor up front looks cool, depending on how deep it is,
Flip tables and pull out looks useful. Would like to see the sink , as he said strainers were integrated (I guess like Euro vans)
He said 12v/110 fridge. Wonder if the put in additional batteries?

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
Electric compressor fridge-this van is a tremendous upgrade to the 59g. form this video the bed dimensions look good
the novakool fridge uses only 4-5 dc amps per hour depending on temperature

Looks like a large storage cabinet or wardrobe and/or drawers in the rear.
Overcab storage looks useful.

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
Definitely a no compromise 2 person Class B. As you all know, I like that as I just could not understand why one would want to sacrifice space in a B for maybe a 5% use of carrying a third or more persons. And yes, we have done that on a couple of thousand mile trips.
You could probably take "comfortable" extended trips with the 59K plan. Being a light sleeper now, I doubt I could ever get comfortable with my wife in that 46" wide bed 59G plan.
As I surmised the end of the bed is just a head prop mattress for the neck up. Probably a manual lift ratchet. Electric actuators would raise the cost dramatically for so little benefit. The bed in the video looks long enough. The width is pretty good. Roadtrek should take note of these beds for their Promaster. Since they don't intend to seem to make them for sofa sitting I don't quite understand why they didn't raise them higher and get some massive storage underneath.
The flip down sink reminds me of my US Navy days. That's what they put in ships, especially submarines where space was at a premium.

Here's a better image taken by TXwallywinnebago of all the storage in the rear:

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
The more I study this one, the more I like it. As far as the layout goes that is.
Curious as to how much storage is under those beds. Think you'll use at least one of those overheads above the beds for your pantry area. The kitchen overheads and cabinet drawers look adequate for all your dish/utensil/pot storage.
At least we discovered all your clothes can go in those bathroom cabinets. That's really nice.
Big questions remain - tank sizes, battery count and if the tanks are gravity floor, or you have the pumpouts like on the 59G.

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
Even though I have abandoned my notion that I needed a "dry bath" with stand-alone shower, this implementation of the "wet bath" leaves me uncomfortable. Seems like too much "risk" to too many stored items so close to running, splashing water. The Coach House Arriva does something similar, but they manage to segregate the shower from the storage.

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
Anybody have a phobia that some one might open that back door while you are using the facilities?
I am kind of wondering if one of those under bed areas is storing the fresh water tank. I would think it would be on the driver's side this time above the floor.
I don't see it in the photos but the smart thing to do would be to put a total surround shower curtain on a track in the bathroom.

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
The shower curtain appears to be on snaps, which seems like an ill-concieved design. Unlike the 59G, a shower curtain is a must to protect that cabinetry. Easy mod though, to put in a track and a better curtain.

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
Studying the size, I just don't see how that would hold 23 gallons.

could the 23 gallons be the water tank and trumbo/combi combined?

I'm trying to figure out how you'd get - and secure - the kayak up on that roof rack, as seen in the video. It's hard enough to get the kayak on the roof of my SUV (and we're in our 40s)!

Rectangular tanks can be pretty deceptive in their capacity, compared to the convoluted tanks normally used, which look huge sometimes for their capacity.
23 gallons is only 3 cubic feet of volume so an 18" x 18" x 16" or 21" x 21" x 12"tank would do it, and it looks pretty close to something in that range.
The shape also makes it so you are more likely to be able to use more of the water capacity if you are a bit off level (the van that is, some of us are always a bit off level), than the long skinny underbody tanks with a drain on one end.

I had a salesman (a mid-twenties guy) explain to me rather dismissively that is what the ladder is for. You just carry it up.
Surely some folks will meet their maker ahead of schedule trying to do that.
The bike rack is better thought out. The platform the holds the bikes swings down, you put your bikes in place and then it swings up and locks in place. Not sure if it's spring assisted, or you have to use brute force (2 bikes would be about 50 lbs).

That was my first thought too, but then it doesn't seem nearly big enough and looks like a pedestal for the lift up table for the passenger seat and might have some other utility storing functions. The driver seat looks as if it will use the slide out table from the galley. Plus, on this model all the plumbing is on the driver's side.
Why a pedestal like that and not just a stow away table most use? I suspect since the 59G blocked the door in that location they did so again to preserve the trimming and step location. Personally in both cases I think that is an awkward design to have to fully open the sliding door in order to enter and leave the B.

Re: Winnebago Travato 59K
Davydd-the only reason i thought that might be the water tank is that the 59g has the fresh water tank in the same spot-except it's shorter and squarer and has a seat on it
