Winegard square antenae discontinued already

We changed to the Winegard RVRZ25W a few years ago to gain room for more solar than the Winegard batwing would allow. It was just out then, and looks to have been discontinued already, and replaced by a mast mounted unit that looks like a roof mount style and sits 5.5" high. Good thing we got ours when we did, as that height might be too much for getting into the garage.

It must have just recently gone away as some places still have a few for sale.

Ours seems to work just fine, I wonder what the reasoning was.

I see those on Amazon and other sites for about $55.

when I was going through my own antenna investigation a few months ago, winegard did not mention or recommend that antenna
( mine was damaged by previous owner- I wrote a post on my adventure- the result is that I can from my home in PHX pick up stations at the Tucson towers- 111 miles away)

Based on what I saw, it probably has not been a current product for a while, so that is why they didn't say anything. I looked around when I saw it was discontinued and saw some going for as low as $30.
