Winegard Automatic RZ-8500

We have a Winegard Automatic over the air dome which works very well when it works. The gear case that rotates the directional antenna has failed twice. The first time gear teeth failed and the second time the gear case cracked when the gear train again failed.

Winegard replaced it twice and the third one is still going. Does anyone else have one and has it been durable?

It does a very good job of bringing in the signal when the rotating mechanism works.

The concept is great but the owner reports on the Rayzar seems to indicate a fairly high incidence of mechanical failure.
