Default Windshield Leak Fixed -Awning Removal Needed

Removed the awning on my Chevy 02 190P to seal the rain gutter. Not as bad as I anticipated and was able to use a chisel to remove the pop rivet heads that fastened the awning to the three brackets. There were two rivets per bracket. Two man job to lift the awning off. The original seal was basically gone allowing water to leak underneath the top and down to the top of the front windshield from inside the van. Only way I noticed the leak was when I touched the headliner and it felt like a sponge. Lotsa water goes thru that crack if not properly sealed.
