Default What is this ?

yesterday while winterizing our 2015 Agile, I opened the little door inside the left rear door to isolate the water heater and there's a tan electrical component laying on top of the pipes. It's still connected by wires but I can't see where it's supposed to be ( certainly not just laying there.)
Appreciate any help.
Thanx

Does it look like what is circled in this photo:

If so, it is part of the water heater and has fallen from where it was mounted.

I think it comes with two sided tape to position it and screw holes to make that position more permanent.
