Default Water tank protection

Anybody put any thing on the bottom of their water tank for protection from rocks or road trash? We have a Zion. We seem to find our way onto dirt and gravel roads.
As we're waiting on a new tank, as the one that came in the new Zion leaks. Face the front up hill didn't leak, backed in and it drips antifreeze.
Dealer said tank cracked from one of the fitting out.

As part of converting our GWV Legend to 4-season operation, I enclosed the tanks in sheets of 1/2" extruded foam insulation. My motivation was thermal insulation, not physical protection, but I suppose it serves that purpose to some extent. I am not sure how long these will last, but I consider them expendable. Very cheap and easy to replace.

Our Class B has a protective sheet metal enclosure suspended from the chassis with all-thread. This is what it looked like after we rehabbed it and replaced the original hardware with stainless. It is a rather oddly-shaped tank which partially jogs around the fuel tank, visible behind it.
