Default water leaking inside thru outside speaker? winnebago era 70a

Yesterday after a heavy rain storm we noticed a wet spot on the right passenger side rear interior panel. Only thing I can think of would be the rain water leaking in through one of the outside speakers?

.

I hate those outside speakers.

I wish WGO would not do that.

The fewer exterior penetration, the better.

Yes, looks like what I had in my ERA. Pretty easy to pull the speaker, use butyl putty tape to re-seal.

Thanks Marine for letting me know that's what it is and how to fix it. Hopefully I can get to it before the next rainfall. Also thank you for your service.

Default update: Replaced Speakers

It was the actual speakers that were letting water come inside the motorhome. The diaphragm (cone) were already torn.

Replaced them with Kenwood water resistant speakers; sounds much better too.

Agree, not a good idea to put exterior speakers on there.
