Default Water

How long can you leave the water sit in your tank if it is just sitting there? How about driving it about once per week? Does it go stale?

I have always thrown about a 1/4th cup of bleach in the tank to keep it fresh between runs, (full tank). That's only if I know it's going to be some time between uses.

Also, we never drink or cook with the tank water, we use bottled.

I drain the fresh water tank(s) between trips but that's because of the time in between. It could be up to a month in between for me. If it was a week, I wouldn't drain it.

I don't drain the water in the water heater between trips but, if it was easier to do, I would.

We use bottled water for drinking but use the water from the tank for cooking.
