It was in news reports six months or so ago that Walmart was going to make better use of it's large parking lots.

Check with hospital parking lots or call the local police station for areas to overnight park.

Some interstate hyways have rest stops to get food and fuel, they also have fenced in area for campers that have electric hookups you can also fill water tanks. The cost was $20 for the nite, I used them when traveling from Ore to Pa, we also stayed at Wendy's they were OK with that.
