VW Australia is selling from the Showroom floor. Class B'sbuilt in the Jayco Factory in Victoria Australia

Unfortunately, I don’t believe we will ever see the VW Crafter in US. New Crafter is not longer based on the Sprinter chassis. Base price for this Camper Van is about 99K USD

That is true. This Crafter is not based on the Sprinter, they are all Diesel. Interesting that the non US owned " Jayco" is doing the conversions for VW in Australia Crafter is as big as the Sprinter
