Default velcro

After realizing that the previous owner had attached the flashlight inside a compartment with velcro, it seemed that a good thing would be a layer of velcro lining all the cabinets and shelves around the sink, microwave. Then a piece of sticky velcro on most items (flashlight, organizer shelves, (permanent items) would secure these items. How does everyone else keep things from being slung around during transit?

Here's a link to another thread about flying utensils, and some ways to keep things
from becoming projectiles. There isn't really a "one size fits all" answer. (yet)

Actually, Vern's idea might be the one. Works for NASCAR.

I've happily used heavy duty velcro or even 'industrial strength' to secure things like flashlights in odd places. Since I live in 80% humidity most of the year, the adhesive doesn't last that long. It seems important to both clean the surface (alcohol wipes work well) and roughen it (light sandpaper) before attaching the sticky stuff.

BTW (and relevant to your other thread ), I mounted my awning rafter (in 2 pieces) and pole to a skinny spot in the back with velcro.

Mine is still in the external storage clipped to the inside of the swing door.
It does pop loose on occasion if the roads are rough or I open the door too quickly.
