Truma heaters with CP plus controller
Our '16 Winn Travato 26k has this setup. It's so new tech people at dealership don't really know it. I think I figured out everything but one: does it only program once during any 24hr period??
Please help!!!!

Re: Truma heaters with CP plus controller
The video is great but lacks the fine tuning info needed. I found more info in UK & German forums. I need to find out if timer is only good for 24 hrs.

Re: Truma heaters with CP plus controller
Thanks I have read that..I think my problem is I was used to just hitting a switch on our old View. This unit requires a bit more adjustment...

Re: Truma heaters with CP plus controller
Sometimes, companies are so impressed by technology that they make devices harder, not easier to operate. I can't believe how many operations are necessary to turn on a water heater when 1 or 2 on/off switches would do the job. Maybe I'm a Luddite, but if I'm cold, I turn the thermostat up. It would never do to put the heater/AC on a timer. And please, stop putting a clock as the default display on every piece of tech I buy.

Re: Truma heaters with CP plus controller
Truma saw this topic and sent the following info:
Quote:
The Truma Combi CP plus controller has the ability to set one cycle through the timer, with one ON time setting and one OFF time setting. This mode will override the current settings of the unit during the time the timer is ON and active. Setting of the CP plus is covered in our manual which can be found at http://www.truma.net/downloadcenter/cp_ ... ing_us.pdf.
Additionally, people are welcome to download the Truma App (change the language to English (North America) in the settings) and add the manuals to their portable device (iPhone; iPad or Android device). http://www.truma.net/int/en/howto/truma-app.php
Lastly, end users are invited to contact our Service team to support with any questions they may have via phone or email 1-855-558-7862 or Service@TrumaCorp.com

Re: Truma heaters with CP plus controller
Crazy day. ..propane master wasn't working. .went to dealer and it seems to be sticking. .was working when I left. ..go home heater wouldn't stay running. ..Truman tech was super. .said it wasn't getting gas...tried stove..no good..gas off again!!!! I am curious how this is panning out. You are the first person that had problems with this unit, and because I'm explicitly speccing this unit out for my Transit build, any major show-stoppers are worth knowing.

Can anyone tell me how much propane the Truma burns per hour? I know it will vary on the temperature outside and settings, but doesn't go through the 6 gallon propane tank quickly? Thanks

Truma propane burn rate is about 0.15 gal/hr at high output (14k BTU/h) and 0.08 gal/hr at medium output (7.5k BTU/h).
The Travato's 6 gallon nominal propane tank provides 4.8 gallons net capacity so the tank could provide about 32 hours of continuous high output firing. But under more reasonable conditions, say 50% thermostat cycling at medium output the propane would last more than 5 days of heating.
Truma's CP Plus control panel provides a nighttime setback option that could further reduce consumption. Of course some additional propane usage for cooking and refrigerator (59g) can be expected.

Is that rate just for heating, or for both heating and water heating?
