Angry Trouble filling water tank?

I have a 1993 Roadtrek and I bought last month. I'm having trouble filling the water tank. I put the adapter to the hose and put it through the hole where I'm supposed to fill the tank but it starts to immediately leak underneath the van at the top of the tank. I want to say it's leaking but I'm worried it's not going in far enough but I can't push it any further. Any suggestions?

I have tried to just put the hose in without the adapter but it appears to be hitting against what feels like a metal post. I think I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be helpful. It can't be that hard but it seems that way for me. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I don;t have your model- my first question is are you sure that the tank isn't full and you are seeing water flowing from the overflow?

It's a 1993 Roadtrek 210 Popular. I'm 100% sure it's empty. It's white a plastic tank under the vehicle and there's absolutely no water in it.

If no one here has had this issue with this model, you might try some of the Roadtrek pages on Facebook. For instance:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1676...?ref=bookmarks

This is a closed group and it can take a couple days to get approved. There is also a Roadtrek Yahoo group which has many owners of the older units, but it can take up to a month to get approved.

Sorry I can't help.

Most likely that the water fill tube broke off or it got disconnected from the fresh tank...?

I assume you looked for any info in the manual?

Manual
http://www.roadtrek.com/download/1744&file_id=1745

Brochure
http://www.roadtrek.com/wp-content/u...model_year.pdf

It might not even have anything there, but it's a start.
