It's a sore point. Part of battery maintenance is checking for the tightness of terminal connections and terminal corrosion. As these batteries are typically oriented, doing this is difficult if not impossible. Unlike flooded cell batteries, AGM batteries can be oriented in any position (except upside down) which could make the terminals more accessible but I haven't seen this done.
