Re: Thetford Curve porta potti
I went to Camping World today to check it out but am holding off til i get some reviews.I know it's been out for a year now and it sure looks great(as great as a porta potti can get).My reservations are to do with the battery operated pump.I would prefer a manual pump for reliability.I looked on you tube but only found the vague adverts. The big reveal at Dusseldorf was cute but I would like some real world reviews.

Re: Thetford Curve porta potti
A gentleman on the Sportsmobile forum gave the Curve a really great review so I ordered it and anxsiously await it's arrival. I don't recall being this excited ovrr the current potti that I bought just 3 short months ago. I didn't truly realize it's short comings until last weekend when I had to use it for more than urination.
The not very old potti is tall with a 5 gallon tank but the bowl is just too shallow. I got to look at the Curve at Camping Word and would have it in my clutches as I type if they would have had it a little more competitively priced. It truly is a work of art. Nice deep bowl.Gracefull curves. Electric flush. Paper compartment. Really gives the Thetford in my Bounder a run for the money. It is supposed to arrive Thursday after which I shall give a full report ; well , not a full report.

Re: Thetford Curve porta potti
It came today and it is amazing. It is a bit larger than my last one although the capacities are the same,so make sure the dimensions will work for you.It is very comfortable and everything fits (gentlemen) as it should. This will make my little B minus a little more livable.Anyone want to buy a slightly used.....?

Re: Thetford Curve porta potti
The Curve was just awarded Product-of-the-Year for 2012 by the Recreational Vehicle Aftermarket Association:
Quote:
Thetford Corp.’s new Porta-Potti Curve portable toilet received the inaugural Recreational Vehicle Aftermarket Association (RVAA) Product-of-the-Year Award, according to a press release. It was announced at the 2012 RVAA Executive Conference in Chicago, Ill., on August 22.
The all-new Curve has a sleek, modern and homelike appearance. It also features a comfortable seat height, battery-powered flush, convenient level gauges and an integrated toilet tissue holder.

Re: Thetford Curve porta potti
The flush is very effective and cleans the whole bowl. The award is kind of hum
orous but they've got my vote . I wish I would have bought this to begin with.

Hopefully our steadfast moderator Markopolo will make the link clickable but in case he doesn't then go to my profile and click on my website and scroll down til you find it. BTW is there a tutorial here about just such a posting?

Re: Thetford Curve porta potti
Sometimes the video ID string starts with v= - you only need the part after v= in the URL

Re: Thetford Curve porta potti
There is the original BB Code guide:
http://classbforum.com/phpBB2/faq.php?mode=bbcode
It is good to read.
But embedding youtube was a later customization. The help for new features is what you see on a "mouse over". Move your cursor over the BB code option when making a post and the "helpful tips" appear.
Once you understand the basics in the first link then it becomes much easier with the more complicated ones.
Note: the is a forum practice area here: http://classbforum.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=30
