Default Tank Sensor problem

My fresh water indicator display is always showing "e" empty
My gray water indicator display is always showing "e" empty
My black water indicator display is always showing "e" empty

My propane indicator is functioning properly and accurately

Is there something in common here?

Since this seems to be "global", perhaps it is my display panel?

Any ideas? How do these systems work?

Losing your tank sensors is a common thing but usually the black will always read full (as in toilet paper or something else gets hung on the sensor). I am so used to having non-functioning tank sensors that I wouldn't do anything about it.

What RV do you have?

Do you know what kind of sensor?
The new RVs have electronic sensors that are mounted on the outside of the tank. (sonic?)

All 3 are bad?
Could be the sending unit problem.
Could be the receiving unit problem.

Could be a bad wire connector.

Do you have photos?

See attached picture.
I have a 2000 RT 190

Battery indicator seems to operate correctly
Propane indicator seems to operate correctly

It just seems odd that all water system sensors would be out. Perhaps a common denominator.... (ground wire??)

Where it is affecting all indicators, I am guessing you most likely have a bad ground somewhere. I have had this happen and it was mice that chewed through a ground in the belly of the trailer.

Wiring diagrams used to be available on their web site, but it appears that they have re-done their site. The company that makes these panels can be found here:

COMPANY | KIB Electronics

Maybe email them with your model and see if they can get you a schematic or give you other advice. in the past they have helped me via email.

Good luck.
