Default swapping cabinet for captain's chair?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and am looking for a sprinter camper. I found a 2010 Winnebago ERA that I really like but I would want at least on passenger captain's chair and this particular model has cabinets in place of captain's chairs. I'm wondering how easy (or difficult) it would be to remove one of the cabinets and install a captain's chair. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks, Jim

DO you mean the front passenger seat has been removed?

Or do you want an extra passenger's seat at the sliding door?

Several of the upfitters have layouts where you have a choice between a front cabinet or a Captain's chair (Great West used to be one of them). Shouldn't be that hard to retrofit one of those.

.

Go check out Facebook's Hymer and Roadtrek group.

Just last week someone who has an Adventurous was asking if he could remove the 3rd seat and install a cabinet there.

That's a standard option offered by Roadtrek. When ordering, you can get the third seat or an armoire or in some models, a pantry. But the way they do it permits the owner after delivery to subsequently retrofit one feature for the other. The OP should check with WGO to see if this can be done on the ERA without major surgery.
