Stovetop replacement
I’ve got a dometic (Lucas electric’s inbred cousin?) 958047145 2 burner cooktop with a non working burner.
I think I’ve got it narrowed down to an igniter (?) but can’t find the part (which would be the whole manifold assembly).
We’ve been fine with one burner, really looks like two pots on the stove top would be cramped anyway.
I’m selling the van so I feel like I should finally take care of it.
So I think I need to replace the cooktop.
My cutout dimensions are 12 1/8 x 17 1/14”.
Top dimensions are 13 1/8 x 18 1/8”.
Not finding anything close enough so has anybody had to enlarge their cutout to fit a replacement cooktop?
Thank you

I have no thoughts on your situation, but I laughed when I read the above comment. In my "younger years" I had an MGB for a while and a TR3 for a few years. You laugh in hindsight at what you cussed fifty years ago. I still remember the term "wired positive earth".

Actually never messed with British cars.
Skipped right to the reliable Japanese version: Miata.
And plenty of Bosch on my 80s Volvos before that.

you missed out, the Lucas 3 position switch:
Off
Dim
Flicker
if it's just the igniter- I'd leave it ( since you are selling I'd probably leave it anyway) our does have igniter, we use a firestick to light the burners.

Yes I gave up on Triumphs and Nortons for the reliability of Harley-Davidsons

I saw a bumper sticker in the 60’s or 70’s
“Why do the British drink warm beer?
Because they have Lucas refrigerators”

The electrics on my DeLorean were built by the Prince of Darkness.

I guess I’m not using the right term. It is the part that the knob is attached to. It is attached to the manifold tube under the stove. One per burner.
These knobs are close to the sink and in a recessed area that can easily fill with water. I’m assuming water wiped out this “gas switch”. You can’t hear or smell the gas when you push the knob for the non working burner.
So again, has anyone replaced a stove top recently and if so did you have to modify the counter to fit the new unit?

Attempt # 3
A while back I cleaned the Jets and the burners. This time I’m going to blow out the gas line to the rear burner.
Update: the rear burner gas line is blocked . I couldn’t blow it out so I am soaking it now.

Stumped
I blew out the line for the rear burner and there was definitely debris in there. But after reinstalling the line the back burner still won’t work though.
Now I have taken the gas valves apart and not seeing any obvious issue. Both gas valves are a bit loose now on the manifold tube and I’m worried I’ve disturbed a factory seal.
I’m great at taking things apart but as far as repairing stuff I have a mixed record.
And again the good gas valve will turn on the gas, even when completely unplugged from the thermal coupler.

Likely require a seal on the threads of any connection you've disturbed- home depot has paste type products from Rector
the debris is interesting, it is more than possible that the jet is clogged.
these are soft and precise and you don't want to go at them with a wrong-sized steel tool.
there are fine files/brushes esp as used by welders in various sizes-
I work on guitars and have guitar strings from 7 thou to .135 handy. I use these to clean jets ( mostly on carbs)- if unsure of the correct size I start small and work up until I feel resistance on my finger tips

The seal I am talking about is the connection between the manifold tube and the gas valves.
I have since tightened the connection and it seems OK.
I took the stove apart again and cleaned out the burners and jets. I did find some more debris where the nonworking burner jet screws into the burner base.
I also took apart the gas valve bodies. The gas valves themselves are brass seem pretty foolproof. On the opposite end of the valve body (and furthest away from the sink) is the switch for the thermal coupler. The switch is sealed in a plastic tube and I saw no moisture.

I had previously cleaned out the jets.
So because of this delicate connection and corrosion at the manifold terminus I think I should probably throw in the towel and buy a new stove.

I finally did the same with an 05/04 Roadtrek 190P. One of the valves was not fixable. The manufacturer stated that the stove had been discontinued with no valves left. Maybe I could get Very lucky and find one. She provided the model number of what would fit.
Mine on a scale of 1-10 to remove was a 9.5. I needed a small amount of dynamite to remove it. Kind of liked the new one though.

Success
Success.
During the second disassembly I found more debris in the burner base (Where the jet screws in). Cleaned out the burner base and rechecked the jet. This debris was the culprit, affecting gas flow to the jet.
So the gas valves had nothing to do with the problem (but interesting to dissect).
Upside besides both burners finally working:
I can now disassemble/service this stove in the field blindfolded.
Winning(?)

you are never going to sell your RV
I can tell
you may have to hide it a block away, but I don't think you are going to sell it
