Default Sprinter Speedometer

i got an 2017 ss agile with 2016 sprinter chassis. I use waze for navigation. Noticed the speed showing on my sprinter speedometer is always 5km/h less the number showing on waze. Anyone has the same thing ? While its not that Significant in miles.

Default Speedometers are engineered to be lower

YES... this is standard for the vehicles. I wouldn't get too excited about this. See this video.... it explains why

Normally it's the other way around... Your vehicle typically says it is going 2-3% faster than it actually is. If Waze says you are going faster than the speedo something could be off.

That video explains that the speedo is required to do the opposite, it must over report the speed to avoid you getting a speeding ticket...

Have the tires been replaced? That can affect the speedometer.

The kph is off more than the mph because kilometers are smaller than miles. If you measured something with a ruler and were off by one inch, you would be off by 2.45 centimeters. Same distance, different measurement.
