Default Snug as a bug in a rug.......

Guess I won't be using my van until next year.......

I added a few more photos to my Costco Shelter post:

I put the back panel on the front of the shelter and the zippered front panel on the back of the shelter.

That is a lovely set-up. It is a shame you are not down here in TX.
Fall, Winter, and Spring are the best times to go camping around here!

Texas sounds good to me right now. We are experiencing record rainfall here but at least my RT is dry!

Mark.
I like that shelter for your van.
I just looked on Costco on the web. I could not find any "shelter" like you have there in the Costco website. Did some pretty heavy searching.
Is there a proper name for the shelter or catalog number?
Thanks.

I got it from a nearby Costco. (I'm on Vancouver Island in BC). I looked online for it once but didn't find it either.

The Costco here has had them for the last two years. Seems like they get them only once in the Spring and when they're sold out that's it. No more until the next year. $209 for the last two years. Great price. I think it came in one huge box. Had someone from Costco help me load it and I brought it home in my Roadtrek

It is named Steel Frame Canopy Item # 680355
The customer service number on the assembly instructions manual is: 1-800-585-9969 Mon to Fri. Maybe they can tell you where else they are sold.

Thank you Mark for the info.
I will check it out.
I found another one on ebay but it is more into the $500 range. It seems a bit better suited for vans however and has a vent (good for the northeast weather.)

I will do some investigating on all this and try to find something similar. I think for the price, your setup is excellent!

That is a very nice shelter in the photo Joe and I think terrific value if you get it near $500.

The Costco Car Shelter is only 10' wide so I tend to enter and exit my van using the side door when it is parked under the shelter. It would be easy to have the other doors hit a pillar when opening them if you're not careful.

I bought the van cover first because I couldn't put up a shelter at my previous house so I have spent well over $500 on protecting my van.
