The Recon Camper is a simple, propaneless RV, no stove, no shower (except for an outdoor one with a small electric water heater). However, it only seats 4, sleeps 4. See their website at https://www.reconcampers.com/

We are currently waiting for our Tofino to be built and hoping to take delivery in November! We are a family of 4 and this unit checks all the boxes for camping, skiing, and traveling around the Pacific North West for us!
Really not to concerned with just lap belts in the back for our teenagers. This is a fairly common set up for busses, and vans that have seats sitting in the back of the unit.

Not any more. All the passenger vans- Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Chevy Express, and Nissan NV- now have 3-point belts in all seating positions. All but Chevy also have head restraints in all positions. Some have curtain airbags.

Personally, I think upfitters, if they really want to capture a new generation of young families, need to give more attention to safety in the rear positions. My Chevy RT 190 has 3-point belts in the rear folding seat, but no head restraints and no child seat anchors. One obstacle is the testing required for aftermarket seats with integrated belts and restraints to earn DOT approval. Makes them pretty pricey. Factory seating has economies of scale.

Busses... that's complicated.
