Side sliding door not working - key light blinking

Hi there - the side sliding door of my 2005/2006 Vista Cruiser (Freightliner w/ Mercedes engine) will suddenly not operate.

I noticed the red light is blinking on the lock/unlock button at center dash when I attempt to use the door. Also when trying from the inside, the doors seem to relock themselves each time I try to operate the sliding door. And the handle stays slightly ajar on the inside, though you can't open it from inside or outside. The key fob works and front two doors work fine.

Anyone have experience? Many thanks!

Check the tracks something as keeping it from closing all the way.
