Default Side Flip Window Open While Raining? (Class B)

I have left my side flip up window open a few times while raining. No water inside that I have noticed afterward. I was just wondering if the rain could damage the seals around the window. Thanks,

Damn - that is a good looking B!

Can't really help you with your question other than I think sun causes the most damage.

Thanks for the compliment about my B. I will keep the sun in consideration.

Not exactly related to your question but.........

The more I think about it I guess it really depends on where you are.

When I lived on the West Coast on Vancouver Island rain didn't hurt anything. OK you might see moss growing on a B van that wasn't used but rust wasn't a real concern. Lawn mower didn't rust after a decade etc.

On the East Coast the salt is a killer as well ground moisture or humidity. Rain isn't a cause of concern - no rust on my lawn mower etc. (kept in a shed) but if you left a vehicle outside on gravel or grass it would deteriorate much quicker from what I've seen.

I lived in a subtropical climate (Bermuda) and everything outside could rust from exposure to salt in the air.

PS. I really did see moss growing on a Roadtrek on a dealer lot

A "rubber" seals purpose is to stop rain/water from entering into the vehicle, so it shouldn't be a problem if it gets wet. I agree with salt and sun exposure of being more of a concern then water. The advantage of having the flip open style window is you can have it open when it is raining, unless the winds are blowing the wrong way.

This is an old thread but a saw a Youtube video recently with an owner saying that is what the side flip window is especially for which is to keep the rain out but allowing air in. I keep the window open almost all the time.
