Default Sani Con Question

Yes, I know has been discussed a few times on this forum

I have a 2004 RT 190P - I would really prefer the permanent version as opposed to the Buddy version.
I am going to have to get someone to install it - here is my question for the folks that have one installed - which version would you recommend - direct twist on version or the box model.

Thoughts, recommendations ?? Please.

Thanks

Anu

You might not have space for the box model.
I think most Roadtrek retro-fits are done like this:

I have seen posts where the RT owner completely removed the 3" flexible waste hose and replace it with PVC pipe.

Oops.. thought I had posted this in the Mods section.

Thanks Mark. I am no DIY person esp when it comes to vehicles. So will print out the link and ask around.

Our RT came with the installation shown in marcopolo's post. Works pretty well but I don't know if it's better than the "boxed" version. Knowing my rig I don't see how you would install the boxed version. You might visit a dealer and see how its done at the factory. One advantage I see of my installation is if the pump fails its a 5 minute job to remove the pump, extend the 3 inch hose to the dump station and dump normally. Of course, you'd want a good pair of rubber gloves for this operation. Another thought is why do you want the macerator system since many on other forums have found fault with the extra complication. There's a lot to be said for the simplicity of a gravity system.
