The last dealer I made an appointment with asked me if my problem was an emergency or if it could wait a day or two. I think Boxster is right. Roadtrek is not reimbursing them for service. I would think repairs would be lucrative for any dealer.

I don't think it generally has anything to do with getting paid. This is a very common problem in the RV world. Many dealers simply put you at the back of the queue if you did not buy there and since they have more repair work than they can handle you can wait weeks or more for them to get to you. The better dealers will prioritize to work on emergency problems of people who are traveling no matter if they are a regular customer or not. Many manufacturers including Roadtrek will approve warranty repairs at any repair facility, doesn't have to be one of their dealers.

I made it to AZ. I actually asked my dealer in MN if RT was refusing or slow to pay for warranty work, and they said that had never been a problem. They help any RVer who shows up on their doorstep... and do the warranty work for the products that they are licensed for.
The craziest part of this AZ dealer's refusal to do warranty work is that I have been having my RV serviced there for four years. Of course, none of it was warranty work. This was their response over the phone and when they see that they know me, things may change.
We are still waiting for a call back from Roadtrek about the alternator...

OK - maybe not getting paid is too strong. More like they don't think the manufacturer pays them enough for their effort and thus they will only do it for buying customers. I do agree that every RV service place I've dealt with has a backlog of work. Perhaps this a statement on the quality of RVs.

What Gerry, thought all the problems are user error? What Dave is going thru is absolutely inexcusable and unacceptable.

some users are fine-i cannot tell you what Dave's issue is. I I will say i have found nobody that has gotten Volttrek(autostart) to work. of course everybody does not post on facebook and most that do are the ones with complainst.
My zion in general has worked exactly as advertised. after having the options installed that were not ther originally i cannot say it is not working exactly as described.
It's ecotrek and voltrek that seems to be an issue to SOME.

From what I hear Ecotrek and Voltrek are problematic for ALL. I have not seen a single post that their works perfectly. Also, have you heard of ANYONE getting a manual yet?

Bobby R. Jones says his Ecotrek batteries are working perfectly and have given him 5 hours of air conditioning. However his voltrek is not working.
however not everybody posts. ther are several owners that posted getting ecotrek and have not posted any complaints.
i do not know the entire ecotrek purchaser population.
how are you finding out problematic for ALL. do you know info i don't. if you do tell me and i will check it out.
AND NO- i will not delete campskunk off your site-lol
there is no manual released that i know of

I think it is pretty clear that we do not know how many vans are out there with the Ecotrek batteries and some of the other new stuff. We don't know how many Etrek vans there are either. It would be interesting to know what percentage of owners are having problems but I don't expect that Roadtrek would be interested in sharing that info, which is understandable. It would be interesting in knowing what percentage of Roadtrek owners are even on the Facebook group. There are 30,000 Roadtreks out there and, who knows, maybe hundreds of the 6,000 members on the Facebook group are owners. Are these new systems problematic for all owners? No one outside of Roadtrek is likely to know...

I'm fairly certain, if there were owners who could provide glowing reviews, they'd have them posting about it on their Facebook group. This group needs their kool-aid replenished now and again.

Ron-methinks you are going crazy waiting for your 59 K.
you however don't seem to know anyone i don't. there is not enough info available to give a governing opinion.
However as i said -i know of no one who has gotten volttrek to work-if i do i will tell you

A dealer in CA dropped his RT business because, not only did RT argue with him on all warranties, but was really, really slow to pay. RT begged them to stay, but no go.

Remember, it's not supposed to kick in until the batteries are very low.

You can automatically charge using your solar, and your engine generator using VoltTrek, our latest designed automatic Engine starter, while you are out hiking, dining or sleeping. Just push the switch and the engine will start when your power modules hit 11.2 volts. Your EcoTrek Power Module will hold your power, and your VoltTrek will top it off when needed due to heavy usage.

I don't think I've ever seen my batteries below 12.4 volts in this van.
