Roadtrek Spare Tire Carrier

I have a 2013 Roadtrek Chevy 190P. It has the Roadtrek spare tire carrier, not the EZlift model. It works fine but make loud squeaking noises going up or down. Should I be lubricating the cable and/or the wheels? If it needs to be lubed can I just spray it with something or what should I use?

IIRC, we have heard about squeaks and it was usually the spring in it's guide tube under the van. Spaying some lube into the tube may take care of it, but something the lubricates well and stays put.

I have that same setup in my ‘15 210; they will sound off until you spray, grease them, etc. I have used Spray White Lithium Grease and it works. I had the E-Z Lift on my ‘05, Roadtrek should have taken that on…..works so much easier.
