Default Roadtrek PIVOT

Roadtrek introduced a new PIVOT model that brings Rapido's Duo-Space pivoting wall bathroom design to the North American market for the first time. The pivoting divider hides the sink and toilet while showering, providing a semi-dry bath design similar to that used in Winnebago's EKKO.

Unlike EKKO, the Duo-Space divider swings from right to left, and appears to be more compact. Similar to EKKO the design is based around a cassette toilet.

PIVOT follows the common European design pattern of dual passenger seating with 3-point belts aft of the driver, passenger side galley, and rear flex sleeping area with gear storage underneath. Pricing is slated at $165,900, similar to the Zion and Chase models, and uses the RAM Promaster extended chassis. The Slumber rooftop sleeping area is available as an option.

A demo of the Duo-Space bathroom divider in Rapido's Dreamer D68 model can be found here (around 2:45 in the video):

If you google Roadtrek Pivot, only your post above appears. And the video is the European model.

So... I'm curious as to your source?

Pivot was introduced at the Elkhart RV Dealer Open House industry show this week (Sept 26-30).

No updates on the Roadtrek website yet, but when they introduced the Play and Chase models two years ago it took a few weeks before the website got updated. I included the Rapido Dreamer D68 video because it uses the same Duo-Space pivoting wall bathroom design.

Personally I'm quite intrigued to see this semi-dry bath concept on North American Class B models. Rapido has been moving slowly and conservatively to rebuild the Roadtrek brand. This moves them out front with an industry leading feature.

I found this is typical of nearly every manufacturer. I'm surprised that it wasn't brought out in Hershey. Perhaps the prototype was delayed?

Over on a Roadtrek Facebook page a Roadtrek employee said that a video will be out soon... and people on the thread are already complaining about the cassette toilet. lol

The Ekko has a pivoting door to separate the shower from the sink/toilet. How is this any different? https://youtu.be/CYs0lUsSczo?t=496

Conceptually they're very similar - using a pivoting wall divider to isolate the toilet and sink basin from water spray (and subsequent cleanup) while showering.

They differ mostly in implementation. EKKO features a toilet on the right side and swings the pivot wall left-to-right for shower mode. Rapido's Duo-Space, featured on the Roadtrek Pivot, places the toilet on the left while the pivot wall swings right-to-left for showering.

From a user perspective the key difference may be size. Winnebago managed to fit their pivot wall bathroom into a small Class C RV for the EKKO. Roadtrek/Rapido's unit appears to be a bit smaller (which remains to be confirmed) and they were able to engineer it into a 21ft Class B van - a first ever for the North American market.

In the future it will be interesting to see if Winnebago might be able to fit the EKKO bath into a Class B model, perhaps one of the longer Transit or Sprinter variants?
