What Greg says about the impeller, or an outside chance that the inlet to the pump is totally plugged.
The impeller can be replaced, once you remove the pump, which is not a horrible job, but need to get under van and usually need to cut and reconnect the wiring. It can get messy, but you can shut the valves, and remove the cleanout plug on the opposite side of the pump to let most of the goop in the pipe out before removing the pump. Still not a pleasant job, though.
