Default Roadtrek Glass Repair

2014 Chevy Roadtrek 190P

Over the weekend one of the rear side windows was vandalized. The upper curved, fixed pane was shattered. None of the local glass shops or RV repair shops can fix it.

Nothing on the window indicates a manufacturer. I will reach out to the larger Roadtrek authorized dealers.

Any suggestions?

I am now in communication with LaMesa RV in Albuquerque. It appears LaMesa has a lock on the Roadtrek franchise in the SW. I chose Albuquerque over closer dealers in Mesa and Tucson because of some positive feedback I had read on the forum a while back. If anyone has other suggestions, I am open.

I'm not sure how important an auhorized Roadtrek service center is, since I own a legacy model from the old Roadtrek. I was hoping they had a line on the original window supplier. The small, independent shop I usually use was no help at all.

Is yours the 2005 model?

There is usually some* talented Mobile** RV technicians that may be able to do it faster & get the glass cut where as you or I walking into a typical glass store its easier "to say no" to such a small, custom cut with an unknown mobile application.

*its usually like Kissing Frogs but the good guys are out there

**here in Los Angeles & areas the top smaller shop owners are retiring from the business at a time we need them more than ever before - I go out of my way to tip them appropriately

**the Internet, Covid, CA Business Idiosyncrasies

Hi Jon,

I joined several of the Roadtrek Facebook forums. Broken window posts are common and often they recommend contacting a fellow named Jack Wood. You might try emailing him.
jackwood3@gmail.com

Hope this helps.

Jack Wood posts on the Roadtrek Chevy Group and has replacements for some of the glass. I believe his email is cmdglass@gmail.com.

Thanks for the lead. The dealer was helpful at first, but then they stopped returning calls, so I’m thinking they hit a dead end.I will contact Mr. Wood.

May I ask for the exact name of the Chevy Roadtrek FB. group?

Again, thank you. This has been frustrating.

Nope. I contacted several companies recommended here and on FB and reached out to Jack Wood. No response from anyone. Going to wait until after the holidays and try again.

What about calling the Roadtrek company, they might have an idea were to start.

Also found these windows, maybe a fit?

If you haven't tried these guys yet, Mobilife RV Centre in Kitchener, Ontario has an on-line RT parts inventory that advertises older and newer model parts, including certain windows. They have been servicing RTs for decades, and may be able to help you with your search.
Seasons Greetings
