Default Roadtrek carpets

Great forum and so much info here.
Our 2002 Dodge 3500 Roadtrek 190 P has the original light blue carpeting. Some previous owner must have tried using a bleach product to clean because the carpet has white blotches on it. Also the light color is tough to keep clean on long road trips. We recently enjoyed a coast to coast, flawless trip. But the carpets.... I'd say the light colored carpets are about the worst feature of Beverly (we named the RT after its former owner). Does anyone have a solution for floor carpets, such as mats or some other improvement? Can the carpets be dyed? Replaced? Does Weather Tech make good fitting mats for these vans?

Have you looked into replacing carpets with cork or vinyl? I did this with a 2003 Rialta and floors were easy to clean.

I bought the blue vinyl, but have not installed it yet.

The original RT carpet is a high quality 40 ounce carpet. Since we bought our 2007 new fifteen years ago and have really taken good care of it, the carpet is like new. If I were going to replace the flooring, I would find an equivalent grade of carpet and have it professionally installed and I assume most auto upholstery companys could do that task.

We prefer the comfort of carpet and the added sound and heat insulation it provides. Just like at home, we don't like to get up to a cold floor and just because those that are "in" tell us carpet is now "out" doesn't make a bit of difference to our personal preferences.

Just our personal preference and fifteen years of experience with this RT.
