What do you guys use these little slotted pockets for?

Great question! So far ours have only gathered dust, so I'd love to see some creative uses. They look like magazine racks, but that's so 20th century!

We store the same two items in this area year after year in our 190/Ranger:
1) our portable Wusthof knife set in its portable case; and,
2) our electric fly swatter ... lol. Their combined thickness makes for a tight fit that eliminates road rattle.

Shopping bags, fly swatter. I think there is a small umbrella in one of them and a small whisk broom.

Atlas, iPad, folder with reservations, umbrella. What ever fits.

I keep a stool similar to this one, in the right pocket. Really handy to have, I've found!

My friend keeps a folding canvas stool there. It is readily available for when you need to get a bunch of things in or out of a below counter fridge. It was originally bought as a footrest but now it is used so that she doesn't have to crouch down and then get up again!

@LimboMan: Great idea. Looked at the item on Amazon, but can't see how it would fit in the magazine rack. The top opening of ours is only 10" x less than 2" on the larger end.

I'll snap a quick photo when I'm with my van in the coming days. The link I provided was just an example of the type that I purchased (that does fit!)

I keep a four gallon foldable bucket in one. And a camp shower assembly in the other.
