Default Replacement Macerator Hose?

Has anyone with a Roadtrek 190 Popular tried the
Clean Dump (CDHV-20) 20' Length Discharge Hose with Drip Proof Valve that is being sold on Amazon?
Here is the link:

Yes. Clean dump can supply hoses made up to any length. I used them in my 210 and in my 190 since it was new in 2009. They are guaranteed to -40 degrees. I can’t say enough good about them.

Does this hose curl up in the 210 box like the sanicon hose did?

Roadtrek is mentioned in the Q&A several times. Looks like it depends on the model and your storage...suggest reading those. They also suggest alternatives.

Default Bought One - Too Stiff

I bought the Clean Dump hose. When it got here, I couldn't hardly get it out of the box because it was too stiff. I couldn't see how it would coil into the storage box in the Roadtrek. I ended up returning it.
I did some more research and made some calls and found that the Thetford SaniCon 21 ' Retractable hose should be available in January, so postponed my appointment until then.

Using the clean dump hose in my 210, I made a connection just inside the slide out box and coupled to remaining hose to it when I needed to dump. I use a shorter amount of hose in the 190. I have an extension, but rarely need it.

Has anyone used the fixed Thetford 10' hose as a replacement macerator hose?

I have purchased two of the Thetford 10' Fixed Length hoses Model 70425. The first one leaked from under what I call the collar (the hard part at the end of the hose). I returned it and ordered another one, both from Amazon. That hose leaked in the same spot. I contacted Thetford and their Customer Service said they would need the name and model of the macerator in order to know why, even though I explained that I had connected it to a section of the original hose, using their adaptor, and not to the macerator itself. Then they said I might have gotten defective hoses. I will return and order a new one, but I am doubtful that is the problem.
I ended up purchasing a length of 1 1/4 inch bilge hose from Ace and was able to use the macerator again. The hose is white and see through to a point, so I can see "stuff" moving through it. The only issue I have is that with out an air release, the "stuff" moves slowly as the air has no where to go, if that makes any sense. So maybe the Thetford hose is supposed to have an air vent, but I don't know how to hook it up to prevent "stuff" from leaking out on the ground when dumping. Photo attached.

Default Macerator for Zion/Simplicity

Simplicity/Zion 2019, the macerator hose fell apart in and I'm trying to find a new one with that nice cap attachment
Anyone know where to buy this hose?

The very flexible hose shown in the video is OK but others have had problems using it directly off the mascerator pump as it drops when it is run along the frame. If you can use a firmer hose under the coach and then a coupler joining it to the flexible one you would get the best of both worlds.
Good Luck!

Hi,
Need to replace my macerator hose in my 2012 RT popular.
Sounds like people recommend using a stiffer hose from the macerator to the storage box, and then a more flexible hose from there.
Will the Thetford sani con hose 70424 connect to the stiff green factory RT hose with the included barbed fitting?
Or what other hose is recommended from mascerator to box?

Thank you.

Default What Worked for me

We no longer have the Roadtrek, but while we had it, I actually went to Ace Hardware and purchased a length of bilge hose about 10 ' and attached it to the original hose that I had cut all but two feet of. I liked it because it was supple and I could see through it.
