Default Replaced the battery in my car

I replaced the battery in my car................. the previous one lasted for 11 years!

It was a Delco maintenance free battery.

I wonder if any of the batteries in my RV will last 11 years?

My '02 RT has a maintenance free AC Delco 78 6YR battery with side terminals.
It looks like 60% of the top towards the front of the battery/van should be able to
be pried off to check the cell water levels, but I've tried, and it's resisting my attempt
to pry it off.
I can't figure out how to get the darn top off so I can check the cells.
Any idea how it's done? Pry from the sides? Persistence? Elbow grease?
Forget it and just replace it?
The little green eye is on the 40% of the back side of the top and doesn't look like it
can be pried up.

I think batteries with the inspection glass are sealed.

I suspect you are correct. Rather than explode it and myself,
I decided to do the Canadian Tire Motomaster "72" route last weekend.
$109 for a side (and top?) terminals model with a 2-6 year warranty.
2 unconditional replacement upon failure/6 pro-rated.
$10 back for the old one, net around $112, taxes included.
700 CCA, slightly better than the Delco it replaced, and it has 2 cap sections
to gain access tthe cells, if necessary, even though it's touted as maintenance free.
Sometimes replace beats repair. :P o
So far, so good.

11 years! Just a guess I would say the best I ever got was about 7 or 8 years. Maybe I can change that now since I am using a batteryminder.
