Default radio interference from coach

I've noticed for the first time that using electronics in the coach (lights, etc.) interferes with the van radio (which runs off of the van battery) so that I get mostly static. Has anyone had this problem or understand what can cause it and what solutions exist?

if you are talking about AM radio is could be as simple as LED lights.
or some other device creating radio frequency or field.

( this is why the auto manufacturers are dumping AM radio... it just doesn;t work with modern electronics)

FM should work fine unless somehow the antenna connection has come loose

If is FM radio, and it works fine until I switch on something that uses power like a light switch. I suppose that I will need to narrow this down, and see if there is a difference between different devices in the interference.

First make sure you have a good ground on the coach battery. Disconnect the antenna to determine if the interference is via the antenna. If interference exists with the antenna disconnected it is probably getting into the radio via the power wiring. This may be reduced or eliminated by inserting a filter in the power circuit. Check back if you need more info on that.
