Purchase from out-of-state dealer with vehicle delivered
Anyone have any experience with an out-of-state purchase where the vehicle is delivered to you? Any advice on what to look out for would be greatly appreciated.
I am in PA, purchasing from OH. My understanding is the dealer delivers the Class B to me with all the paperwork, I do a walk-through to make sure everything is in order when it gets here (negotiated price plus any fees that were agreed to in advance). If the paperwork is not the price we agreed to, or the vehicle is not exactly as advertised (other than additional odometer miles for delivery), I turn down the delivery and am not out anything. Otherwise if everything is in order, then I accept the delivery and sign all the paperwork, submit sales tax to PA, submit paperwork and title to credit union (72-mo financing), and give details to insurance agent, and I guess take the delivery guy over to a car-rental place so he can get home. What are the gotchas?
