Default Please suggest a Class B RV or Campervan to sleep in

Hi everyone,

I am searching for a good condition used class B RV or a Campervan to sleep in. I am planning on sleeping in this van for 1-2 years while I attend college, as dorms and other costs are very expensive.

I have about $4,500 cash, and a 1994 Ford Explorer which is in good, running condition.

I live in Van Nuys, CA, 91405

Originally, I was thinking about a Ford Econoline, and I was suggested to think about a class B RV.

I searched autotrader, cars.com, & ebay, but haven't been able to find a target Class B RV. Everything listed seems to be very expensive.

I would like a small bed in the back, and possibly a small table for computer work and home work.

I heard there were "Van Sofabeds" available which is a very cool idea.

I also have clothes and stuff I would like to have conveniently hidden away from potential company.

Please suggest a class B RV that will accomplish this, and fit my budget. I think I have about $6.5 - $7.5k total

Please also estimate what I should pay/what would be a good or bad deal.

I would also like to save some money incase of repairs.

If I'm not able to find an class B RV, I'm also interested in a Ford Econoline

Please also ask any questions, as I will be checking this forum frequently for info in other threads.

Thank you.

Ty

Well, you're right, your budget isn't going to give you a large number of options,
but I ran a basic search on rvtraderonline, and came up with a few hits in the
van conversion grouping, gas or diesel, $0-$10,000, any manufacturer, new or
used, and any distance from your zip code.

Some of them don't look too bad, but you'll have to follow up, if you choose to.
You'll have to send some emails, or make some calls, or do a bit of driving.
Basically, you'll have to take it from here, but there are tools avauilable to make the search easier.
Maybe you needed to refine your search a bit?
Hope this helps.
Good luck, it's not always easy.
